A GLB, as an OBJ with its pictures.

Turn a GLB or glTF into an OBJ with its MTL and pictures in your browser, nothing uploaded: in one ZIP that keeps them together, checked before you download it.

A GLB unpacked into an OBJ, its MTL and its pictures

Some programs still want OBJ. KeepSimp turns a GLB into one in your browser, with an .mtl for its colours and its pictures beside it, all in one ZIP.

Drop the GLB and download the ZIP.

Open GLB to OBJ and drop the .glb on it. Press Download OBJ. When the model has materials, the OBJ, its .mtl and its pictures come in one ZIP; unpack it and keep them in one folder.

Before the file is offered, KeepSimp opens it again with its own reader and counts its triangles and measures its size; a file that does not match the model is not offered, and the page says what was wrong.

Materials in an MTL.

Each material's colour, see-through and shine go into the .mtl, its picture is named by file, and its roughness and metalness are written as Pr and Pm, which Blender reads. The pictures are the GLB's own, copied byte for byte.

What an OBJ cannot hold.

OBJ cannot move: animations are left out and the model is written as it stands at rest. The colours of corners are left out too. The page lists what is left out before you download.
