Fewer polygons, the shape kept.

Reduce a model's polygons in your browser with nothing uploaded: half, a quarter or a tenth of its triangles, with how far its shape moved measured.

A model with a quarter of its triangles, beside the original

Scans and sculpts often hold far more triangles than a game, a web page or a slicer needs. KeepSimp takes them away where the shape allows, and measures how far the shape moved.

Choose how many to keep.

Open Reduce polygon count, drop a GLB, STL, OBJ or any file the viewer opens, and choose about half, a quarter or a tenth of its triangles. meshoptimizer's simplifier, through glTF-Transform, takes triangles away where the surface is flattest, keeping each part's materials and the coordinates its pictures are laid by.

Measured, never assumed.

On KeepSimp's sample knot (7,680 triangles, 52.9 mm across), keeping about half its triangles moved no point of its surface more than 0.23 mm and left it closed; a quarter, 0.46 mm, still closed; a tenth, 1.24 mm, and it no longer closed.

When a model that closed a solid no longer does, the page says so: keep more triangles if it is to be printed.

In the format you need.

Download the smaller GLB, or keep it as the model and choose Change the format for STL, OBJ, 3MF, FBX or another.
