An IGES file, opened today.

Open an IGES or IGS file in your browser with nothing uploaded: turn its surfaces and solids round and measure them, without a CAD program.

An IGES part opened in a browser

IGES is the older of the CAD exchange formats, still sent by machine shops and older CAD programs. KeepSimp opens it in your browser.

Drop the IGES file.

Open the IGES viewer and drop the .iges or .igs file. It is read by OCCT, as STEP files are, at the size the file says, standing on Z; choose how finely its curves are drawn.

An IGES file can hold loose surfaces rather than closed solids. They are drawn and measured all the same, but a volume is given only for a closed shape.

Pass it on.

Choose Change the format to write it as STL for a printer or GLB for the web; every file is read back before you get it.

Nothing leaves your device.

OCCT is downloaded from KeepSimp the first time a CAD file is opened (about 2.6 MB) and kept for working offline; the IGES itself is read in your browser and never sent anywhere.
