Lights out: a race start reaction test.

Five red lights come on, then all go out after a wait you cannot count on. React like a racing driver in your browser, with jump starts counted.

A reaction time test: a box that has just turned teal with the word Now, and the result beside it, 241 ms, with each try listed

A motor race starts when the red lights go out. Drivers have to react in a fraction of a second, without moving before. The start lights test lets you try it.

Five on, then out.

Press Start. Five red lights come on one a second; then, after a wait between a fifth of a second and three seconds, all go out at once. Press the moment they do. The lights are KeepSimp's own, drawn on the page.

Jump starts.

Pressing while the lights are on is a jump start: it is counted and the try is taken again. Pressing under 100 ms after they go out counts as a guess, since people do not react that fast.

Your score.

The result is your middle try, with every try and how many jump starts there were. Your mouse or keyboard and screen add their own delay, so compare on the same device.
