Do lottery number generators help you win?
No generator changes the chance of winning a lottery. What the real odds are for common draws, and what picking at random does and does not do.

Lottery number generators are popular, and some promise lucky or hot numbers. Here is the honest answer about what any generator can do for your chances.
Every line has the same chance.
In a 6 of 49 draw there are 13,983,816 different lines, and each is exactly as likely to come up. With 5 of 69 plus 1 of 26 there are 292,201,338. No generator, this one included, can change that; numbers that came up last week are no more or less likely this week.
What picking at random does.
Picking at random avoids the patterns people like to choose, such as dates. It does not make a line more likely to win; it only makes it less like other people's lines.
How the generator picks.
Choose the shape of the draw by its numbers, such as 6 of 49 or 5 of 69 plus 1 of 26. The main numbers are drawn with no repeats, the bonus from its own range, and each line is sorted. The page shows the real chance for that shape.
