Finding a tempo by tapping.
Tap along to a song and its tempo is worked out from the middle gap of your taps, so one tap out of place does not throw the answer.

Your hand can find a tempo faster than any menu.
The middle gap.
The page takes the middle (median) of the gaps between your last eight taps, so one early or late tap does not move the answer.
Starting again.
A pause of two seconds starts a new count.
Using it.
Press Use on the metronome to start the click at the tempo you tapped.
