Letter grades become points before they are averaged.
The table.
College Board's scale: A+ and A 4.0, A− 3.7, B+ 3.3, B 3.0, B− 2.7, C+ 2.3, C 2.0, C− 1.7, D+ 1.3, D 1.0 and F 0. Each grade's menu shows its points.
A+ and other scales.
Some schools give an A+ 4.3 or use D−. Where your school's scale differs, its scale is the one that counts.
Nothing kept.
