Let a wheel decide what to eat, and other choices.

Put your choices on a wheel, weight the ones you like more, and spin. How a decision wheel helps end going back and forth, made in your browser.

A wheel of eight names in coloured slices with a pointer at the top, and beside it the pick, Priya, in large letters

Where to eat, which film, whose turn to cook: small choices take up more time than they deserve. A wheel ends the back and forth, and it can lean towards what you like.

Put the real choices on it.

The decision wheel opens with a few things to eat. Replace them with your own, one a line. Leave off anything you would refuse, so whatever it lands on you will actually do.

Give favourites more chances.

Turn on more chances under More options and write a number after a colon: “Curry: 3” has three times the chance of an entry with one. Its slice is three times as wide, so the wheel shows the real odds.

Why it helps.

Having many close options can stall a choice altogether. Handing a small, low-stakes choice to chance frees the time for ones that matter.
