Random

Pick names one at a time, with no repeats.

Pick names from a list so nobody comes up twice, for turns, presentations and cold calling. How take turns works, with the order kept as you go.

A wheel of eight names in coloured slices with a pointer at the top, and beside it the pick, Priya, in large letters

For presentation order, cold calling or whose turn it is, you want every name once and nobody twice. Taking each pick off the wheel does exactly that.

Each pick leaves the wheel.

In take turns, every name picked comes off the wheel, and the next spin draws only from those left, each as likely as the others. The page counts how many are still to go.

The order is kept as you go.

Under the list, the names picked so far are numbered in order, so you can read the whole running order at the end. Put everyone back with one press to start again.

The same as shuffling the list.

Picking one at a time with no repeats gives every order of the names the same chance, just as a fair shuffle does. If you want the whole order at once, press Shuffle on the list.
