Make random teams that are fair.
Split a group into random teams of even size, or balance them by skill with a snake draft. How the team generator works, in your browser, nothing sent.

Picking teams by hand leaves someone last and someone grumbling. A random split is quick and nobody can argue with it, and when skills differ, a snake draft keeps it even.
Teams never differ by more than one.
The list is shuffled fairly and dealt round like cards, one to each team in turn. With 11 people in 3 teams, two have 4 and one has 3, and which teams get the extra person is random too.
Balance by skill with a snake.
Put a number after a name for how strong someone is: “Ana 7”. The strongest are then dealt first in a snake, one to each team and back the other way, so team 1 gets the best player but the last pick of the next round. Totals come out close, and each team's total is shown.
By number of teams, or by size.
Choose how many teams on the first screen, or under More options choose how many people in each and let the page work out the count. Copy the teams to paste into a chat.
