Writing

Each line once, in the order it came.

Keep each line of a list once, where it first stands, and see how many repeats were taken out. Ignore capitals or spaces if you like, in your browser.

A text box with a line under it that says 1,204 words, about 5 minutes to read, beside cards for counting, capitals, comparing and tidying.

A guest list put together from three emails, a column of addresses pasted from a spreadsheet, keywords gathered over a week: lists collect repeats. Taking them out by hand means reading every line against every other.

The first copy stays where it stands.

Paste the list and press Take out repeats. Each line is kept once, where it first appears, so the list keeps its order, and the page says how many repeated lines it took out. Lines that differ only in spaces at their ends count as the same.

Anna and anna.

Under More options, Ignore capitals makes lines that differ only in capitals count as the same; the first one written is kept. Empty lines are kept where they are unless you choose to take them out too.

Sort at the same time.

Turn on Put in order to sort the list A to Z, by number, by length or at random while taking out the repeats.

Nothing leaves your browser.

Everything is worked out on your device: what you paste, type or open is never sent anywhere, and nothing is kept when you leave the page. There are no adverts, no accounts and no limits on length.
