Typing

A typing test children can enjoy.

A free typing test for children with short words, big letters and praise for care, with no adverts, no accounts and nothing typed sent anywhere.

By 3 min read

A typing test with its words, some typed in place, and the result beside it: 62 words a minute and 97% of keys right

Children learn to type best with short words, letters they can see easily, and a result that rewards care. Most typing sites show children adverts and ask for accounts; this one does neither.

Made for young typists.

The typing test for kids uses short words of five letters or fewer in big letters, with a block caret that is easy to follow. The result praises care: being right matters more than being fast, and it never compares children with adults.

Safe to leave them with.

There are no adverts, accounts, chat or links out of the test, and nothing a child types is sent anywhere or kept on the device.

From the first keys.

For children learning where the keys are, typing practice starts with six letters and adds one at a time. Sit up straight, rest fingers on the home row, and look at the screen rather than the keys.

A few minutes a day is plenty. Speed comes from keys the fingers know, and that comes from little and often.
