Group by when.
Headings such as Today and This week keep a list short where it matters; type # before a line to make it a heading.
Leave room.
Empty lines at the end, under More options, leave space for what comes up during the day.
Two columns for long lists.
A long list fits one page in two columns; choose Two under More options.
