Clicks per second, and how to click faster.
Count your clicks per second over 1 to 60 seconds in your browser, with your best second and the shortest gap. What is usual, and how people click faster.

Clicks per second, or CPS, is how many times you can press a mouse button in a second. Gamers use it to compare clicking styles. Here is how to test yours and what the numbers mean.
Click to start.
The clock starts with your first click, so there is no wasted moment. Click as fast as you can until the time runs out: 5 seconds unless you choose 1, 10, 30 or 60. Every click counts as the browser receives it.
What is usual.
Around 4 to 7 clicks a second is usual with one finger. Jitter clicking, tensing the arm so the hand shakes, reaches about 10 to 14, and clicking with two fingers more. These are figures players share, not lab results.
The result gives your rate, your best second and the shortest gap between two clicks.
Clicking faster.
Rest your wrist and click from the finger, not the arm. Take short breaks: fast clicking strains the hand. If a single click ever counts twice, your mouse may be wearing out.
