Search for CGPA to percentage and you find many formulas. Each belongs to a board or university.

CBSE.

CBSE's indicative percentage was the CGPA times 9.5, from its 2010 grading scheme; it stopped giving Class 10 a CGPA in 2018. A CGPA of 8.4 is 79.8%.

AICTE and universities.

University regulations quote AICTE's rule as (CGPA − 0.75) × 10, so 8.4 is 76.5%. Others multiply by 10, or use their own, which you can type.

Yours counts.

Employers and universities abroad go by the rule on your marksheet or in your university's regulations; ask your registrar for a certificate when one is needed.
