A line shows how something changed.
A line for each column.
Put dates or names in the first column and a column of numbers for each line; each gets its own colour and a legend.
Missing numbers.
Where a number is missing the line breaks, rather than drawing a value that is not there.
The scale.
It starts at zero unless you turn that off, which makes small changes look larger, as the page says.
