The right way up, and level.

Turn a sideways photo the right way up a quarter at a time, or straighten a crooked horizon by any angle up to 45°, in your browser.

A photo in the Photo editor with a crop frame, a straightening dial under it and a row of looks beside it

A photo that opens sideways, or a sea that slopes downhill, is quick to fix. Turning moves every pixel to its new place exactly; straightening turns the picture by a small angle and fills the frame.

A quarter at a time.

Open Rotate image, add a photo, and press Turn left or Turn right until it is the right way up. Each pixel is moved to its turned place, never blended, so a turned PNG holds exactly the pixels it had.

Level a horizon with the dial.

Drag the dial under the photo; it snaps to level near 0°. With the keyboard, the arrow keys move it a tenth of a degree and a degree with Shift. As in a phone's own photo app, the photo is turned about its middle and enlarged just enough to fill its frame, so the corners are never empty.

Still the same file.

The download is the same kind of file at the same size, without its location or camera details. A HEIC photo from an iPhone is saved as a JPEG, and the page says so.

Your photo stays on your device.

The photo is opened, changed and written in your browser; it is never uploaded. The downloaded file carries no location or camera details, and nothing is kept when you leave.
