Read aloud in a British voice.
Three British English voices that run in your browser, with nothing uploaded: hear Emma, George and Fable, then save your text as MP3 or WAV.

Most free text-to-speech voices are American. KeepSimp's Text to speech has three British English voices among its nine, from Kokoro, an open voice model that runs in your browser. You can hear each before choosing, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Emma, George and Fable.
Emma is the higher of the three; George and Fable are lower. The names are the ones Kokoro's makers gave the voices; they are voices of a computer model, not recordings of people. Kokoro's own table grades Emma above George and Fable, and the American voices Heart and Bella highest of all.
The British voices are given British English pronunciations by eSpeak NG, the program that turns words into sounds for the model. The other six voices are American English. There are no other accents, and only English is read for now.
Hear them, then make it.
Paste or type your text, or open a text, Markdown or Word file. Under Which voice?, press the play button beside Emma, George or Fable to hear a sample sentence made on your device, and choose one. Then answer what it is for and press Make speech: it starts reading while the rest is still being made.
Speed, from half to twice as fast, and the pauses between sentences and paragraphs are under More options.
Listen to a document reads a little quicker than talking pace, and Video voice-over at talking pace. Changing a pause afterwards never makes the voice speak again; only changing the voice, the speed or the text does, so you can try pauses freely. One run takes up to 120,000 letters, about two hours of speech.
MP3, WAV and subtitles.
Download saves an MP3, or a WAV under More options, with SRT or WebVTT subtitles timed to each sentence if you want them. A voice-over is evened to the loudness podcasts use, and an audiobook gets a chapter for each heading.
What to expect.
It is a computer-made voice, and the page always says so. It can say a name, a number or an abbreviation wrongly; spell a word as it sounds when that happens. Pitch cannot be changed and voices cannot be copied from a recording.
The voice's files, about 120 MB, are downloaded from KeepSimp the first time and kept by your browser, so it works offline after that. Your text is never uploaded.
