A 15 minute timer is one of the lengths people reach for most. Here is what it suits, and how to make the most of one in a browser.
What 15 minute suits.
Fifteen minutes is a study sprint or a classroom activity: long enough to make progress and short enough to start without putting it off. It is also the long break in a focus session.
A ring for the room.
Under More options, show it as a ring that empties, which is easier to read across a room than digits, and press Full screen for the board.
If you switch tabs.
The timer keeps the moment it started, so it shows the right time whenever you look, and says if it ended while you were away. Browsers may pause a page in the background, especially on phones, so keep the page open when the sound matters.
