How is body fat worked out from a tape measure?
By the US Navy's formulas (Hodgdon and Beckett, 1984) from your height and the girth of your waist and neck, and hips for women.
How accurate is it?
It is an estimate: a tape measured a little differently changes it, and it can be several points out against a body scan.
Where should I measure?
Men's waist at the navel, women's at its narrowest, the neck just below the Adam's apple, and the hips at their widest, with the tape level and not pulled tight.
