Each month's interest is rounded to the cent, half up, and the last payment pays what is left, so your lender's schedule may differ by a few cents.
Paid on top of every payment, straight off the loan.
For the APR: the yearly rate with the fees counted, as US Regulation Z and India's Key Facts Statement work it out.

Every option explained
- Rounding
- Each month's interest is rounded to the cent, half up, and the last payment pays what is left; lenders' schedules can differ by a few cents.
- Paying early
- Extra each month, or a lump sum after any payment, shown as ending sooner beside paying less each month.
- A change of rate
- From any payment, keeping the payment (the term moves) or the end date (the payment moves); said when a payment would no longer cover the interest.
- APR and flat rates
- The APR counts fees paid at the start, by the actuarial method of US Regulation Z; a flat rate is shown beside the reducing rate it equals.
- Not advice
- This is arithmetic on the numbers you type, not financial advice. Rates, fees and rules differ by lender and place.
