Questions people ask

How strong is the lock?
The file is encrypted with AES-256, the strongest lock the PDF standard has. Anyone who opens it is asked for the password; without it the pages cannot be read.
Can I stop people printing or copying from it?
Yes. Switches allow or stop printing, copying text and pictures, and changes, with an optional second password that lifts those limits. Readers are asked to respect them, but not every program does.
What if I forget the password I set?
Then the file cannot be opened, here or anywhere: the password is not stored, sent or kept by KeepSimp. Keep it somewhere safe, and keep the file without a password too.
Can I lock several PDFs into one file?
Yes. Add them all and they are joined in the order you set, then locked with one password. Add one file to lock just that file.
