Questions people ask

Do I need to crop the photo first?
No. The page is found by its edges and straightened before it is read, as the PDF maker does with scans; a photo taken from above on a plain desk works best.
Can I take the photo on my phone?
Yes. Choose pictures on your phone and take a photo with its camera; nothing is uploaded.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. Tesseract runs in your browser from this site's own files; the picture and its words never leave your device and are not kept.
