A little help along the way
Follow these steps. Every option is explained underneath. Everything happens in your browser; the photo is never uploaded.
- Say what you want to do, and add a photoChoose an answer to What do you want to do? (Make it look better is the usual), then drop a photo, choose one or paste one. The editor opens full screen on that tool; the others are in the bar of tools, beside the photo on a computer and along the bottom on a phone.
- Make it look betterPress Auto, or tap a look: each is shown as a small picture of your photo. Then set Light, Colour and Detail in words, such as Darker, As taken or Brighter. Exact values and the look's strength are under Fine-tune.

- Add wordsPress Add words, type them, and drag them into place. Choose a font, a colour, a size and a box behind them.
- Hide a partDrag over what should not be seen, and choose Blur, Pixels or Box, as a rectangle or an oval. Box is the safe choice for anything private.
- Draw on itChoose a pen or a highlighter, a colour and a thickness, and draw on the photo.
- Compare, undo and downloadHold the photo while Looks is open, or hold Compare, to see it as it came. Undo and Redo go through every change. Download writes the same kind of file at the same size.

Questions people ask
- How do I blur a face in a photo?
- Drag a box over the face and choose Blur, Pixels or Box. An oval fits a face better. Each area can be moved off again with Undo.
- Can a blurred number plate be read back?
- Sometimes. Software can at times guess what was under a light blur or large pixels, especially for numbers and letters. A solid box hides it for good, so use Box for anything private.
- Is the location taken out too?
- Yes. The downloaded photo has no location or camera details in it, and the photo is never uploaded.
This page is the Photo editor, opened for this one job; every other tool it has is one press away. Each of its settings is explained on the Photo editor's own page.
